Warning: upcoming cooker breakage

The Qt update that's currently running will break KDE and LXQt until rebuilds are done (shouldn't take more than a day or two).
But when the qt5-qtbase build is published, it's better to hold off on updating cooker until related builds are done.

Fixed bug installing with f2fs

The bug was with f2fs. If user choose f2fs for root partition then Calamares would not install the grub2 boot-loader. That is now fixed. See online article for more information and links to latest ROME and Cooker iso's.

Need ROME users for package testing

We need people that use ROME for package testing and for voting to move packages from rolling/testing repos to rolling/release repos.

Installing OMLx with root - no password

User wishing to install OMLx (any version) with no root password. Calamares issues an error “Installation Failed” “Cannot disable root account”. This issue is fixed in Cooker, the fix should be in Rolling soon as well as in the next version of Rock.

OpenMandriva Rock repositories upgraded to OM Lx 4.3

The long awaited OM Lx 4.3 release is here. This means users of OpenMandriva Rock/OM Lx 4.2 need to do the distribution upgrade or “distro-sync” to OM Lx 4.3.

Rolling repos sync with Cooker (2022/01/13)

Important for Rolling Users

Hard working OM Cooker devs are at work copying Cooker repos to Rolling repos. We do this when Cooker devs believe we are at a good point for stability and bug fixing. There have been a huge amont of bugs fixed. Especially for KDE or other desktop packages it is best to wait for the entire process to complete to avoid problems.

Do not upgrade your Rolling system while this is in progress.You need to wait until copying cooker repos to rolling repos is finished. This process takes some time so we all need to patient.

Important: We will inform users here in this forum when it is safe again to upgrade. Also we'll detail any extra steps that may be needed.
